Who we are

Bettuh Be LLC builds, hosts and maintains websites for small businesses, and is based in Barbados. This policy covers our own website and the enquiries sent through it. Sites we build for clients have their own policies, written by the businesses that run them.

What we collect when you just visit

Nothing that identifies you. There is no analytics package on this site, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts loaded on a normal page view.

Our server keeps ordinary web logs — the address a request came from, the page asked for, and the time. They are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse, and for nothing else.

What we collect when you contact us

When you send the contact form, we store what you typed: your name, your email address, your business or project if you gave one, the plan you asked about if you picked one, and your message.

We also store three things you did not type: the IP address the form was sent from, the browser identification your browser sends with every request, and a spam score if spam checking is switched on. These exist so we can tell real enquiries from automated ones, and for no other purpose.

We use all of it to reply to you. We do not sell it, we do not use it for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Cookies

This site sets two cookies, both necessary for it to work, and neither used to track you:

bettuh_be_session — identifies your browsing session so the contact form can remember what you typed if something goes wrong. It expires when your session ends.

XSRF-TOKEN — a security token that stops another website from submitting the contact form on your behalf. It expires with the session too.

There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no cookies from anyone else. That is also why this site has no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Who else sees it

The notification telling us an enquiry has arrived is sent through an email provider, so it passes through their systems the way any email does.

The site runs on servers rented from a hosting company, so your data is stored there.

That is the whole list. We do not share enquiries with anyone else, and we never sell them.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as we might still need it — to answer you, to pick the conversation back up, or to keep a record of work we agreed. When it is no longer useful, we delete it.

Web server logs are kept for a short period and then rotated away.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will do it.

The only thing we may keep after a deletion request is anything we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you send is encrypted in transit. Enquiries are stored in a database that is not reachable from the internet, and reading them needs a password.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you.

Children

This site is not intended for children. You need to be at least 16 years old to use Bettuh Be, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page changes.
